3D Printing with Speciality Materials

Don’t compromise on material choice | Look for the Additive solution

Some manufacturers build 3D printers that come with access to more specialist materials and the ability to experiment. Formlabs 3B+ and 3BL stereolithography printers allow you to print with the full range of their resins including those suitable for dental and medical applications. Lynxter’s versatile and modular industrial additive manufacturing machine is both Industry 4.0 oriented and open to advanced 3D printing with silicones, PU, epoxy in liquid form as well as metal and ceramic pastes.

Which Formlabs Speciality Resin

Formlabs have a family of Speciality Resins featuring advanced materials with unique properties to expand what’s possible with in-house fabrication on their stereolithography 3D printers. Some materials may require additional steps, equipment and experimentation. The BioMed resins are biocompatible, sterilizable, manufactured in an ISO 13485 certified facility to enable medical device and point-of-care manufacturers to reduce costs and iterate faster. The Castable resins print fine detail with high-accuracy and repeatability – settings, prongs, shanks. The Jewellery industry uses these resins for casting custom jewellery, try-on pieces and masters for reusable moulds.

BioMed Clear

For long-term bodily contact, prints at 100 micron layer height

BioMed Amber

For short-term bodily contact, prints at 100 or 50 micron layer height

High Temp Resin

For hot air, gas, fluid flow, heat resistant mounts, housings and fixtures, moulds and inserts

ESD Resin

Rugged ESD-safe for electronics manufacturing, housings, anti-static prototypes and end-use parts

Ceramic Resin

Experimental ceramic material, used in R&D, jewellery, fine art and sculpture

Rebound Resin

Highly resilient end-use TPU material, good for gaskets, seals, grommets, handles, grips, overmoulds, compliant robotics

Castable Wax 40 Resin

For casting challenging, highly detailed jewellery designs, prints at 50 or 25 micron layer height

Castable Wax Resin

For casting thin, filigree patterns in jewellery at 50 or 25 micron layer height
