BCN3D’s upcoming VLM™(Viscous Lithography Manufacturing) technology will soon set them apart even further. VLM is a patented 3D printing process in which high viscosity resin layers are laminated onto a transparent film. Their mechanical system allows for lamination to take place on the underside of the film as well. By using resins that are 50 times more viscous than standard ones, BCN3D’s upcoming printers will be able to create parts with 3 times greater impact resistance and 200% greater tear strength compared to industry standards. High quality parts will therefore be manufactured quickly and efficiently.

And their multilingual 5” touchscreens allow you to easily navigate the printers’ options. Another important feature shared amongst the Epsilon range is the printers’ integration with BCN3D’s proprietary software: Stratos and the Cloud.

Stratos allows users to quickly and efficiently slice their designs in preparation for printing. After slicing, Stratos lets users preview their design with great accuracy; X-ray view reveals the object’s internal structures and otherwise hidden geometries. Once finished, upload the file to BCN3D’s Cloud software and you can access your designs from anywhere with internet connection. Cloud lets users manage print queues remotely, as well as review detailed usage analytics to help inform manufacturing decisions.

Commonly asked questions about BCN3D Printers

IDEX is extrusion with 2 heads printing independently, that means “Duplication Mode” and “Mirror Mode” can print two parts at the same time. It also means the possibility of printing in multiple materials and using soluble supports.

Duplication mode – prints identical models at the same time, giving you double the output. 

Mirror mode – symmetrical printing of a mirrored design, speeding up iteration. 

Soluble Supports mode – enables printing with soluble supports which dissolve away in post-processing to achieve complex geometry and intricate design.

Multimaterial Mode – allows printing with 2 different materials at the same time, therefore combining their properties.

Smart drying technology protects your filament and reduces the risk of prints failing.  

Load and store up to 10 spools of filament

Includes a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to auto-resume printing within 10 minutes, or allow a manual restart in case of a longer outage.
