Zortrax M200 on sale now at GoPrint3D

Today we are delighted to announce a new 3D printer into our stock, the Zortrax M200, which is available to buy right now for just £1,449.00 including VAT.

The Zortrax M200 started life out as a Kickstarter campaign. It needed a pledge of $100,000 to get off the ground, which sounds like a lot, but really isn’t when you consider the amount of time and sheer effort that goes into the research, design, development and launch of a 3D printer. It labelled itself as the 3D printer for everyone. Everyone, because Zortrax wanted to take this printer to market with a very reserved asking price.

To cut a long story short, the people of the world pledged $179,471 to Zortrax, and within only a few months of launching their Kickstarter campaign, the Zortrax M200 was shipping and today, Zortrax is absolutely flying with an exciting ecosystem of its very own.

As we’re sure you’ll agree, that’s one amazing story. Which is why we’re so excited to now be selling this fantastic 3D printer ourselves. Here’s everything you need to know about it:

High quality, cost-effective 3D printing.

Let’s start by stating the obvious; the Zortrax M200 is an unashamedly affordable 3D printer. Value for money is what it sells itself as, and a dive into the features, the technology and the results this printer offers explains why the phrase value for money is very accurate.

Zortrax M200

The M200 uses Layer Plastic Deposition (LPD) technology. This technology is tried and tested in the industry. It builds three-dimensional models up layer by layer, by melting thermoplastic filament in an extruder that then precisely builds up the layers. It’s not as fancy as stereolithography (SLA) or digital light processing (DLP), but it gets the job done and the M200 boasts a layer resolution of 90-400 microns. That’s low enough for intricate prints and the extruder has a nozzle diameter of just 0.4mm for adding super-fine details.

Build size is taken care of too; the M200 offers a spacious 200 x 200 x 180mm build volume.

We’ve seen this printer up close, and we can assure you that the prints it can produce are nothing short of breath-taking. So good they are, it’s hard to believe that the printer costs so little. But it isn’t just this technology that contributes to the quality of models…

An unrivalled ecosystem, with some stunning filaments.

Zortrax filaments

When you buy an M200, you aren’t buying a 3D printer; you’re buying into an ecosystem.

Let us explain. The M200 can use ordinary ABS plastic to print. But it isn’t what you’re going to want to use, and that’s because Zortrax have come up with their own range of extremely high quality filaments. These are called Z-ULTRAT, Z-ABS, Z-GLASS and Z-HIPS.

Take Z-HIPS, for example. This filament has a high impact and tensile strength with resistance to solvents. It’s designed for building large objects that may be thin in places and it has the uncanny ability to resist warping. It is also matte grey in appearance, so it absorbs light and hides any minor flaws and defects – making it ideal for prototypes.

All other Zortrax filaments are equally as impressive, and their all-purpose and low cost filament, Z-ABS, outperforms most other ABS brands on the market.

All of which is to say, the Zortrax M200 means business. So what are you waiting for?
